When you get into Second Life with your new avatar, you'll see a row of buttons at the bottom of your screen.

1. Click on the button that says "Search."

2. Look at the top of the search window, and you'll see several tabs.  Select the "People" tab. Type in my name: eggshell Burks (small "e" is intentional).

3. Another window will open. You will see a button that says "IM." Click that button, and you will be able to type a message only I can see.

4. When finished typing your message, click "Send." I will receive your message and be available to help you
